Our promise

Stability starts before you sign.

Moving into a SIL home is one of the biggest decisions a person and their family will make. We think you should know the people and the place are right, long before any paperwork comes out.

Right fit01

Meet your housemate or support worker first.

Coffee, a shared meal, a shift together, real introductions before anyone moves in or starts on shift. You decide whether the chemistry is right; we keep matching until it is.

  • Compatibility-led matching across ratios, gender, routine, interests and non-negotiables
  • Meet in a setting that suits you, café, our office, your home, or the SIL home itself
  • Re-matches at no cost if the first introduction isn't right
Try before you sign02

Two free overnight stays. Then six months, no rent contribution.

Spend two nights in the SIL home you're considering, with the housemates and support team you'd actually live with. If it feels right and you sign your tenancy, your rent contribution is waived for the first six months, so settling in isn't a financial pressure.

  • Two complimentary overnight stays per prospective resident
  • If you sign, your resident-paid rent contribution is waived for the first six months
  • Subject to vacancy, housemate consent, and coordinator approval

How it works

Three calm steps.

  1. 1

    Tell us about you

A short form and a 15-minute chat. We learn what matters: routine, dealbreakers and what a good home looks like.

  2. 2

    Meet & stay

Introductions with potential housemates and your support team, plus two overnight stays in the home you're considering.

  3. 3

    Decide on your terms

If it feels right, you sign and your rent contribution is waived for six months. If this home is not the right one, we keep working with you.

Good questions

The honest answers.

What does "no rent contribution" actually mean?

We waive the rent portion that the resident normally pays out of their own income (typically up to 75% of the Disability Support Pension plus Commonwealth Rent Assistance). Your NDIS SDA and SIL funding continue as normal, they aren't affected.

Are the two nights really free?

Yes, no cost to you for the two overnight stays. They include the room, meals, and the support team on shift, so you experience the home as it really runs.

What if I stay and decide it's not the right home?

Then it's not the right home, and you don't sign. We'll keep working with you to find one that fits, or look at ILO, respite or other options. The offer is a no-pressure way to be sure.

Who is eligible?

NDIS participants with SIL/SDA funding (or in plan review) who are considering one of our participating SIL homes. Subject to vacancy, housemate consent, and coordinator approval. One offer per person.

How quickly can a trial stay happen?

Usually within 2–4 weeks of your first chat with a coordinator, depending on the home and housemate consent. Tell us your preferred dates and we'll work back from there.
