Support that actually fits the person.

We don’t just fill rosters - we match people. Providing NDIS support across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter, Central Coast & Sydney, we’re a local, family-founded team that understands how important the right fit is. Personality, preferences, shared interests - it all matters. And just as importantly, we keep things consistent. Familiar faces, real connections, better support.

The problem we solve

Most providers send whoever's free.

We think the person matters as much as the shift.

How the match works

Four steps. One team that stays.

  1. Step 1

    Listen

We meet the person, the family and the coordinator. We ask what a good day actually looks like.

  2. Step 2

    Match

We pair workers on personality, pace and shared interests — not just who's free.

  3. Step 3

    Introduce

A short meet-and-greet before the first shift. Either side can say it's not the fit.

  4. Step 4

    Stay

A small team of familiar faces, a named key worker, and continuity we can measure.

Faces that stay

Small teams. Named key workers. Reviews on the calendar, not on request.

We track continuity per participant and publish the figures with each annual review — no headline numbers on this page until they're measured against a full year.

For support coordinators

Straight answers, same business day.

Honest capacity — including when we're not the right fit. If we can't take the referral this week, we'll say so, and point you at someone who can.

Our story

Founded on the floor, not in a head office.

Good Shepherd Support Services was started by a Novocastrian who spent close to a decade as a support worker and grew up alongside a family member with disability. Every decision we make comes back to one question: is this how we'd want our own family supported?
